The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

A fool's vexation is instantly known, but a prudent man conceals shame.

Trust ye not in a neighbor. Put ye not confidence in a friend. Keep the doors of thy mouth from her who lays in thy bosom.

Therefore he who is prudent shall keep silence in such a time, for it is an evil time.
