Happy is the man who fears always, but he who hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.

Let not thy heart envy sinners, but [be thou] in the fear of LORD all the day long.

Serve LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Or do thou despise the wealth of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God guides thee to repentance?

I beheld (LXX/NT) LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

[He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him, and prospered?

And the magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, as LORD had spoken.

And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

But according to thy hardness, and thy impenitent heart, thou store up wrath to thyself in the day of wrath, and revelation, and righteous judgment of God,

And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and prolongs his [days], yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, who fear before him.
