The Way of life is to be without love of money, being content with the things that are present, for he has said, I will, no, not leave thee, and also, I will, no, not forsake thee.

A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich shall not be unpunished.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust deteriorates, and where thieves break through and steal,

Trust in LORD with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding.

He who is greedy of gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes shall live.

See thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope for a fool than of him.

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Be not wise in thine own eyes. Fear LORD, and depart from evil.

For I do not want you, brothers, to be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise according to yourselves, that a callousness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles come in.

and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of wealth, and the cravings about other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

He lays down rich, but he shall not be gathered [to his fathers]. He opens his eyes, and he is not.

For riches are not forever. And does the crown endure to all generations?

There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun: Riches [were] kept by the owner of it to his hurt.

Speak, Thus says LORD: The dead bodies of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather.
