The thoughts of a diligent man [lead] only to abundance, but everyone who is hasty, only to want.
He who works with a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Let the man who steals steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the good, so that he may have to give to him who has need.
He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
He who has an evil eye hastens after riches, and does not know that want shall come upon him.
An inheritance gotten hastily at the beginning shall not be blessed in the end.
Also, that the soul be without knowledge is not good. And he who hastens with his feet sins.
See thou a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
