He who is soon angry will deal foolishly. And a man of wicked devices is hated.

He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly.

An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in transgression.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

A wrathful man stirs up contention, but he who is slow to anger appeases strife.

It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarrelling.
