The hope of the righteous [is] gladness, but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for ye to abound in hope in the power of Holy Spirit.
So are the paths of all who forget God. And the hope of the profane man shall perish,
When a wicked man dies, [his] expectation shall perish, and the hope of iniquity perishes.
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father who loved us and gave eternal encouragement and good hope through grace,
rejoicing in hope, enduring tribulation, persevering in prayer,
through whom also we have access by faith for this grace in which we stand, and we take pride in hope of the glory of God.
An evil man is thrust down in his evil-doing, but a righteous man has hope in his death.
A wicked man shall see it, and be grieved. He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away. The desire of wicked men shall perish.
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee. And their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices. My flesh also shall dwell in hope (LXX/NT).
The desire of the righteous is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.
Sing to God, sing praises to his name. Cast up a highway for him who rides through the deserts. His name is LORD, and exult ye before him.
In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare, but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
