Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou may hearken to the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the sons of Israel thy servants while I confess the sins of the sons

Our fathers sinned, and are not, and we have borne their iniquities.

But the real widow, and made alone, has hoped in God, and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day.

LORD, hear my voice. Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Evening, and morning, and at noonday, I will complain and moan. And he will hear my voice.

He has regarded the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy precepts and from thine ordinances,

O LORD, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

And now, O LORD our God, who has brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and has gotten thee renown, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
