But they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed it to be a ghost, and cried out.
But having seen startled, and having become frightened, they presumed to see a spirit.

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And straightaway he spoke with them, and says to them, Cheer up. It is I, fear not.
