Luke 14:1

And it came to pass, when he went into the house of a certain man of the chiefs of the Pharisees on a Sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him.

And they watched him whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, so that they might accuse him.

And having watched him, they sent forth insidious men pretending themselves to be righteous, so that they might take hold of his word, in order to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor.

Now as he spoke a certain Pharisee asks him that he might dine with him. And having entered in, he sat down.

They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

And if he comes to see [me], he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.

And the scholars and the Pharisees watched if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him.

For as he thinks within himself, so [is] he. Eat and drink, he says to thee, but his heart is not with thee.

A wicked man watches a righteous man, and seeks to kill him.

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

But after standing up in the council, a certain Pharisee named Gamaliel, a law teacher, esteemed by all the people, commanded to make the apostles be outside a little while.

How much therefore a man is superior to a sheep. So then it is permitted to do good on the Sabbath.

And behold, there was a certain man in front of him afflicted with edema.

And questioned by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God comes, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation,
