Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt-offering: The burnt-offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night to the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.
And the fire upon the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall lay the burnt-offering in order upon it, and shall burn the fat of the peace-offerings o
And the chamber whose view is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to LORD to minister to him.
And this is the thing that thou shall do to them to hallow them, to minister to me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock and two rams without blemish,
And with the one lamb a tenth part [of an ephah] of fine flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink-offering.
And there came forth fire from before LORD, and consumed the burnt-offering and the fat upon the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
And his rock shall pass away because of terror, and his rulers shall be dismayed at the ensign, says LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
