Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin unwittingly, in any of the things which LORD has commanded not to be done, and shall do any one of them,
And if the whole congregation of Israel err, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which LORD has commanded not to be done, and are guilty,
and they rose up before Moses, with certain of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty rulers of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown,
Moreover thou shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating unjust gain, and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens,
then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet savor to LORD, with the meal-offering of it, and the
Do not allow thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin, nor say thou before the [heavenly] agent, that is was an error. Why should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands?
And if a soul sins, and does any of the things which LORD has commanded not to be done, though he did not know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be upright, and I shall be clear from great transgression.
