Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches. Pour out thy heart like water before the face of LORD. Lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young sons, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.

How the faithful city has become a harlot! She who was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.

Therefore I will make Samaria as a heap of the field, [and] as places for planting vineyards. And I will pour down the stones of it into the valley, and I will uncover the foundations of it.
