O LORD, thou have pleaded the causes of my soul. Thou have redeemed my life.

LORD redeems the soul of his servants, and none of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.

Therefore thus says LORD: Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee. And I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.

Their Redeemer is strong. LORD of hosts is his name. He will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

who redeems thy life from destruction, who crowns thee with loving kindness and tender mercies,

For LORD has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

So they drew up Jeremiah with the cords, and took him up out of the dungeon. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.
