Thou have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.

being slandered, we entreat. We became as trash of the world, an offscouring of all things, until now.

I have become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.

All who pass by clap their hands at thee. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, [saying], Is this the city that men called The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?

He shall lend to thee, and thou shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and thou shall be the tail.

And thou shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples where LORD shall lead thee away.

And LORD will make thee the head, and not the tail. And thou shall only be above, and thou shall not be beneath, if thou shall hearken to the commandments of LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do,

All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
