A Conservative Version

The fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the sons of Issachar according to their families.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

And their border was to Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

And by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one [portion].

The sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.

Issachar is a strong donkey, couching down between the sheepfolds.

Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. They shall inherit according to the names of the tribes of their fathers.

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

twelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar,
