And inasmuch as it is reserved to men once to die, and after this, judgment,

For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know not anything, nor have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.

There is no man who has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, nor has he power over the day of death. And there is no discharge in war. Neither shall wickedness deliver him who is given to it.

The clods of the valley shall be sweet to him. And all men shall draw after him, as there were innumerable before him.

Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with thee, and thou have appointed his bounds that he cannot pass,

It is all one thing. Therefore I say, He destroys the perfect and the wicked.

The small and the great are there. And the servant is free from his master.

For we must die, and are as water split on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again, neither does God take away life, but devises means that he who is banished be not an outcast from him.

In the sweat of thy face thou shall eat bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it thou were taken. For thou are dust, and to dust thou shall return.

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me together round about, yet thou destroy me.

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing has failed of all the good things which LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass t
