Job 28:3

[Man] sets an end to darkness, and searches out to the furthest bound the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness.

And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven. It is a great tribulation that God has given to the sons of men to be exercised therewith.

And his lord commended the unrighteous manager because he did shrewdly. Because the sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of the light.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Behold, is it not of LORD of hosts that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

if thou seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures,

He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.

Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is molten out of the stone.

He breaks open a shaft away from where men sojourn, [paths] forgotten by the foot. They hang afar from men; they swing to and fro.

Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own. Let a cloud dwell upon it. Let blackness come upon it.
