Hear diligently my speech, And let this be your consolations.

Because of this we ought to give more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest we might slip away.

Why do ye spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Hear my words, ye wise men, and give ear to me, ye who have knowledge.

However, Job, I pray thee, hear my speech, and hearken to all my words.

How long will ye hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

I have heard many such things. Miserable comforters are ye all.

Are the consolations of God too small for thee, even the word that is gentle toward thee?

And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried out, and said to them, Hearken to me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken to you.

Then Job answered, and said,

Allow me, and I also will speak, and after I have spoken, mock on.

Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.

Hear diligently my speech, and let my declaration be in your ears.
