He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly.

As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes. Nevertheless thou heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to thee.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

For I testify to them that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

And having come in straightaway with haste to the king, she asked, saying, I want that thou may give me, of it on a platter, the head of John the immerser.

See thou a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame, and the spirit of my understanding answers me.

Who is he who will contend with me? For then I would keep silent and give up the spirit.

If a man tries to converse with thee, will thou be grieved? But who can withhold himself from speaking?
