He has put my brothers far from me, and my acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.

Thou have put my acquaintances far from me. Thou have made me an abomination to them. I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

Thou have put beloved and friend far from me, and my acquaintances into darkness.

I have become a stranger to my brothers, and an alien to my mother's sons.

I have become a reproach because of all my adversaries, yea, to my neighbors exceedingly, and a fear to my acquaintances. Those who saw me outside fled from me.

At my first defense no man came with me, but all forsook me. May it not be reckoned to them.

But all this has come to pass, so that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples fled, having forsook him.

Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.

Those I love and my friends stand aloof from my plague, and my kinsmen stand afar off.

But now he has made me weary. Thou have made desolate all my company.

My friends scoff at me. My eye pours out tears to God

Then there came to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that LORD ha

Yea, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks. Among all her loved ones she has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they have become her enemies.

I called for my loved ones, [but] they deceived me. My priests and my elders gave up the spirit in the city, while they sought food for themselves to refresh their souls.

My brothers have dealt deceitfully as a brook, as the channel of brooks that pass away,

They were put to shame because they had hoped. They came there, and were confounded.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind. I am like a broken vessel.

Those also who seek after my life lay snares [for me]. And those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.

For the zeal of thy house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach thee have fallen upon me.
