Why are we counted as beasts, [and] have become unclean in your sight?
So I was brutish, and ignorant. I was a beast before thee.
But as for you all, come on now again, and I shall not find a wise man among you.
For thou have hid their heart from understanding. Therefore thou shall not exalt [them].
with brotherly love toward each other, affectionate, leading each other in recognition,
I said in my heart, [It is] because of the sons of men, that God may prove them, and that they may see that they themselves are beasts.
He may give him forty stripes. He shall not exceed, lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem debased to thee.
How long will ye hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
Thou who tear thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
