Job 11:20

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee. And their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit.

I am weary with my crying. My throat is dried. My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

There is no darkness, nor thick gloom where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

For [God] shall hurl at him, and not spare. He would gladly flee out of his hand.

For what is the hope of the profane, though he gets him gain, when God takes away his soul?

He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusts, and he shall be brought to the king of terrors.

I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away. And ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Even that it would please God to crush me, that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

Then Job answered and said,

Look on [my] right hand, and see, for there is no man who knows me. Refuge has failed me. No man cares for my soul.

The hope of the righteous [is] gladness, but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal men of the flock to escape.

who long for death, but it comes not, and dig for it more than for hid treasures,

who rejoice exceedingly, and are glad when they can find the grave?
