Jeremiah 15:1

A Conservative Version

Then LORD said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

Therefore do not pray thou for this people, nor lift up cry nor prayer for them, for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble.

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among those who call upon his name, they called upon LORD, and he answered them.

Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against LORD in ceasing to pray for you. But I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt-offering to LORD. And Samuel cried to LORD for Israel, and LORD answered him.

For it came to pass through the anger of LORD, in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you. And I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence.

Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy wrath from them.

Therefore thus says LORD: If thou return, then I will bring thee again that thou may stand before me. And if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shall be as my mouth. They shall return to thee, but thou shall not retur

The king's favor is toward a servant who deals wisely, but his wrath will be [to] him who causes shame.

For the Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, representative of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

therefore thus says LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me forever.

My heart is toward the governors of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye LORD.

And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he had stood before LORD.

For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How we are ruined! We are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.

For thus says LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel [it].

For thus says LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, nor go to lament, nor bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, says LORD, even loving kindness and tender mercies.

Therefore I will cast you forth out of this land into the land that ye have not known, neither ye nor your fathers, and there ye shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.

Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? Is he a vessel in which none delights? Why are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into the land which they know not?

And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry. And when they offer burnt-offering and meal-offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no more. All their rulers are rebels.
