Why do thou say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from LORD. And the justice [due] to me is passed away from my God?

Why do thou forget us forever, [and] forsake us so long time?

therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you. And I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence.

As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes. Nevertheless thou heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to thee.

My God, my God, why have thou forsaken me, far from helping me, [and] the words of my groaning?

How long, O LORD? Will thou forget me forever? How long will thou hide thy face from me?

Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains. For LORD has comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, these may forget, yet I will not forget thee.

For LORD has called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit. Even a wife of youth when she is cast off, says thy God.

And thou, son of man, say to the house of Israel, Thus ye speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them. How then can we live?

LORD appeared of old to me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love. Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn thee.
