I, even I, am he who blots out thy transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight, that thou may be justified when thou speak, and may prevail (LXX/NT) when thou are criticized (LXX/NT).

who forgives all thine iniquities, who heals all thy diseases,

But now, O LORD, thou are our Father. We are the clay, and thou our potter, and we are all the work of thy hand.
