Isaiah 25:1

A Conservative Version

O LORD, thou are my God. I will exalt thee. I will praise thy name. For thou have done wonderful things, [even] counsels of old, in faithfulness [and] truth.

LORD is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

Thou are my God, and I will give thanks to thee. Thou are my God, I will exalt thee.

God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?

O sing to LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand, and his holy arm, has wrought salvation for him.

I will greatly rejoice in LORD. My soul shall be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride

This also comes forth from LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonderful works which thou have done, and thy thoughts which are toward us. They cannot be set in order to thee. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

in him in whom also we obtained an inheritance. Having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the deliberation of his will.

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.

And I saw the heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he who sits upon it called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.

declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure,

saying, Truly! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and strength, is for our God into the ages of the ages. Truly!

O LORD our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us, but by thee only we will make mention of thy name.

While I live I will praise LORD. I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

Exalt ye LORD our God, and worship at his footstool. Holy is he.

And they sing the song of Moses the bondman of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, righteous and TRUE are thy ways, thou King of the nations.

We will not hide them from their sons, telling to the generation to come the praises of LORD, and his strength, and his wondrous works that he has done.

I will extol thee, my God, O King, and I will bless thy name forever and ever.

He has made his wonderful works to be remembered. LORD is gracious and merciful.

I will sing of the loving kindness of LORD forever. With my mouth I will make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David. Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?

And righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

And in that day thou shall say, I will give thanks to thee, O LORD, for though thou were angry with me. Thine anger is turned away and thou comfort me.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, we have waited for thee, to thy name. Even to thy memorial, is the desire of our soul.

Why do thou say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from LORD. And the justice [due] to me is passed away from my God?

But I said, I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity. Yet surely the justice [due] to me is with LORD, and my recompense with my God.

And now says LORD who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of LORD, and my God has become my strength),

And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied. And shall praise the name of LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never be put to shame.

My times are in thy hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.

Sacrifice and offering thou did not desire, but a body thou have prepared for me (LXX/NT). Whole burnt-offering and sacrifice for sin thou did not require.

When I shall find the set time, I will judge uprightly;

calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yea, I have spoken. I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed. I will also do it.
