We have heard of the pride of Moab, [that] he is very proud, even of his arrogance, and his pride, and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.

The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name. He works in the arrogance of pride.

And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of it as he who swims spreads forth [his hands] to swim. But [LORD] will lay low his pride together with the craft of his hands.

For the hand of LORD will rest on this mountain. And Moab shall be trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the water of the dunghill.

How can ye say, We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war?
