And LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

And so it is written, The first man Adam developed into a living soul. The last Adam a life giving spirit.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

But now, O LORD, thou are our Father. We are the clay, and thou our potter, and we are all the work of thy hand.

nor is he served by the hands of men, as needing anything, since he himself gives to all life, and breath, with all things.

The first man was of the earth, earthly. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

Know ye that LORD, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Rather, O man, who are thou answering back to God? No, will the thing formed say to him who formed it, Why did thou make me this way?

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for how is he to be accounted of?

therefore LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from where he was taken.

Besides, we indeed have had chastisers--the fathers of our flesh--and we were turned around. Shall we not much more be subordinate to the Father of the spirits, and we will live?

And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will thou be angry with all the congregation?

The spirit of man is the lamp of LORD, searching all his innermost parts.

Behold, I am toward God even as thou are. I also am formed out of the clay.

For we know that if the earthly house of our tent were destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not from us,

And after saying this, he breathed on them, and says to them, Receive ye Holy Spirit.

How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

Let LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

a time to tear, and a time to sew, a time to keep silence, and a time to speak,

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

but there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.

Thus says lord LORD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live. And ye shall know that I am LORD.
