When thou take the sum of the sons of Israel, according to those who are numbered of them, then they shall give every man a ransom for his soul to LORD when thou number them, that there be no plague among them when thou number them

And Joab said, LORD make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?

And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in for LORD the tax that Moses the servant of God laid upon Israel in the wilderness.
