Exodus 12:27

A Conservative Version

that ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of LORD's Passover, who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

And the people believed. And when they heard that LORD had visited the sons of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

And thus ye shall eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And ye shall eat it in haste. It is LORD's Passover.

Purge out the old leaven, so that ye may be a new lump, since ye are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us.

For LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side-posts, LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to smite you.

And Ezra blessed LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with the lifting up of their hands. And they bowed their heads, and worshipped LORD with their faces to the ground.

Moreover Hezekiah the king and the rulers commanded the Levites to sing praises to LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.

Thou may not sacrifice the Passover within any of thy gates, which LORD thy God gives thee,

And thou shall sacrifice the Passover to LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which LORD shall choose to cause his name to dwell there.

Thou shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread, nor shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

and that thou may tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought upon Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them, that ye may know that I am LORD.

And the sons of Israel went and did so, as LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

And it shall be, when thy son asks thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shall say to him, By strength of hand LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou did in their days, in the days of old.

And thou shall tell thy son in that day, saying, It is because of that which LORD did for me when I came forth out of Egypt.

For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their sons,
