The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool will swallow himself up.

And all witnessed to him, and wondered at the words of grace that proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is this not the son of Joseph?

He who loves pureness of heart, [for] the grace of his lips, the king will be his friend.

[As] a thorn that goes up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

A FALSE witness shall not be unpunished, and he who utters lies shall not escape.

A man has joy in the answer of his mouth, and a word in due season, how good it is!

There is he who speaks rashly like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise is health.

He who winks with the eye causes sorrow. And a prating fool shall fall.

The wise in heart will receive commandments, but a prating fool shall fall.

As for the head of those who encompass me around, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them. All who see them shall wag the head.

The mouth of a righteous man talks of wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.

[But] I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the solace of my lips would assuage [your grief].

And David said to him, Thy blood be upon thy head, for thy mouth has testified against thee, saying, I have slain LORD's anointed.

The fool folds his hands together, and eats his own flesh.

The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the cry of him who rules among fools.

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened [by] the masters of assemblies. They have been given from one shepherd.

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God. For God is in heaven, and thou upon earth. Therefore let thy words be few.

Do not allow thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin, nor say thou before the [heavenly] agent, that is was an error. Why should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands?
