Daniel 6:20

A Conservative Version

And when he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a lamentable voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou serve continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

Whereupon he is able also to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him, being always alive in order to intercede on their behalf.

He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Seek ye LORD and his strength. Seek his face evermore.

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. [Now] the king spoke and said to Daniel, Thy God whom thou serve continually, he will deliver thee.

And he also spoke a parable to them about it being necessary to always pray, and not to give up,

For no word from God will be impossible.

Therefore turn thou to thy God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually.

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made, [well]. But if ye do not worship, ye

Ah lord LORD! Behold, thou have made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for thee,

Nevertheless I am continually with thee. Thou have held my right hand.

And LORD said to Moses, Is LORD's hand grown short? Now thou shall see whether my word shall come to pass to thee or not.

Is anything too hard for LORD? At the set time I will return to thee, when the season comes round, and Sarah shall have a son.

Now to him who is able to keep them non-stumbling, and to present before his glory, unblemished in gladness,

Because of which reason I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to preserve my consignment for that day.

Continue in prayer, being vigilant in it with thankfulness.

to those who indeed seek by perseverance of good work, glory and esteem and immortality--eternal life--

But we will continue steadfastly in prayer, and in the service of the word.

While I live I will praise LORD. I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes forever, even to the end.

Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste to the den of lions.

I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, and steadfast forever. And his kingdom [is] that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall
