And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great quaking fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves.
And the men who traveled with him had stopped, speechless, indeed hearing the voice, but seeing no man.
And those who were with me indeed saw the light and became afraid, but they heard not the voice of him who spoke to me.
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked. And I hid myself.
And so fearful was that which was made visible, that Moses said, I am terrified and trembling.
Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.
Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness.
Can any man hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says LORD.
