How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? For the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the beasts are consumed, and the birds, because they said, He shall not see our latter end.

LORD will go forth as a mighty man. He will stir up [his] zeal like a man of war. He will cry, yea, he will shout aloud. He will do mightily against his enemies.

He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languishes.

And LORD utters his voice before his army, for his camp is very great. For he is strong who executes his word. For the day of LORD is great and very fearful, and who can abide it?

I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart. And there I will devour them like a lioness. The wild beast shall tear them.

And I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.

Judah mourns, and the gates thereof languish. They sit in black upon the ground, and the cry of Jerusalem has gone up.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of LORD, the excellency of our God.

The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their leaves].

The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion. He who provokes him to anger sins [against] his own life.

And there was a man in Maon whose possessions were in Carmel. And the man was very great [in goods], and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats. And he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved, he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

The prophets who have been before me and before thee of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

They shall walk after LORD, who will roar like a lion. For he will roar, and the sons shall come trembling from the west.

O LORD, to thee do I cry. For the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field.

The voice of LORD is powerful. The voice of LORD is full of majesty.
