And I fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do thou persecute me?

The multitude therefore that stood by and heard, said thunder occurred, others said, A heavenly agent has spoken to him.

And having withdrawn, they spoke to each other, saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

But I, having understood him to have done nothing worthy of death, and also him, this man, having appealed Augustus I decided to send him.

whom I found accusing about issues of their law, having not one accusation worthy of death or of bonds.

And the scholars of the Pharisees, when they saw him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to his disciples, Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?

When a man's ways please LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

For there stood by me this night an agent of the God whose I am, whom also I serve,

For in fact Sadducees say to be no resurrection nor heavenly agent nor spirit, but Pharisees acknowledge them all.

If then God gave to them the identical gift as also to us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, but what power was I to hinder God?

And after falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do thou persecute me?

but if it is from God, ye cannot overthrow it, and perhaps ye may be found to be fighting against God.

And he said to them a third time, For what evil did this man do? I have found nothing guilty of death in him. I will therefore, having scourged, release him.

And Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, I find nothing guilty in this man.

And their scholars and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?

And he said to David, Thou are more righteous than I, for thou have rendered to me good, whereas I have rendered to thee evil.

And he said to them, LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found anything in my hand. And they said, He is witness.

Then the rulers and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets. This man is not worthy of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of LORD our God.

And there happened to me, while going and approaching Damascus about noon, suddenly to flash forth from heaven a great light around me.
