And some were convinced by the things that were spoken, and some disbelieved.

But when some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, having withdrawn from them, he separated the disciples, discoursing daily in the school of a certain Tyrannus.

But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard, having torn their garments, they rushed into the crowd, crying out

Have we no, not a right to lead about a sister wife, as also the other apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

And while they were serving the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate to me now Barnabas and Saul for the work that I have called them.

So there became a division among the multitude because of him.

And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this man is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign being repudiated

For the son dishonors the father. The daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies are the men of his own house.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled of envy, and contradicted the things spoken by Paul, contradicting and slandering.

But the Jews incited the religious women, and the prominent women, and the principle men of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas. And they threw them out of their boundaries.

But the disobedient Jews aroused the souls of the Gentiles, and made them evil against the brothers.

And as a violent movement developed, both of the Gentiles and of the Jews, with their rulers, to denounce and to stone them,

But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium. And having persuaded the crowds, and having stoned Paul, they dragged him out of the city, after presuming him to be dead.

For ye, brothers, became imitators of the congregations of God, which are in Judea in Christ Jesus, because ye also suffered the same things by your own countrymen, just as also they by the Jews.
