And David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore to thee all the land of Saul thy father, and thou shall eat bread at my table continually.

And David said, Is there yet any who is left of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Thus LORD of hosts has spoken, saying, Execute TRUE justice, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.

but also thou shall not cut off thy kindness from my house forever. No, not when LORD has cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.

Abide thou with me. Fear not, for he who seeks my life seeks thy life, for with me thou shall be in safeguard.

And the king said to him, Why do thou speak any more of thy matters? I say, thou and Ziba divide the land.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
