A Conservative Version

The cords of Sheol were round about me. The snares of death came upon me.

The cords of death encompassed me, and the pains of Sheol got hold upon me. I found trouble and sorrow.

whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.

And he said, I called because of my affliction to LORD, and he answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, [and] thou heard my voice.

The fear of LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

The law of a wise man is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

His own iniquities shall take a wicked man, and he shall be held with the cords of his sin.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords. They have spread a net by the wayside. They have set snares for me. Selah.

The cords of Sheol were round about me. The snares of death came upon me.

And if they be bound in fetters, and be taken in the cords of afflictions,

But when ye see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that the desolation of it has come near.
