A Conservative Version

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God.

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

Beloved, I beseech you as aliens and sojourners, to abstain from the fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.

The fear of LORD is to hate evil. Pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate.

Approach God and he will approach you. Cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as that man is pure.

And may the God of peace himself sanctify you thoroughly. And may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Men who have purified your souls in obedience of the truth through the Spirit for non-hypocritical brotherly love. Ye should love each other fervently from a pure heart,

Let the wicked man forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. And let him return to LORD, and he will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

for ye were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which is of God.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from every sin.

Let us be afraid therefore, lest, a promise being left behind to enter into his rest, any of you should seem to have come short.

By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of LORD men depart from evil.

Ye therefore shall be perfect, even as your Father in the heavens is perfect.

Blessed are the pure in heart, because they will see God.

With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to thy word.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous so that he will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from every unrighteousness.

Among whom we also all once behaved in the lusts of our flesh, doing the intentions of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath as also the others.

And the law entered so that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace was more abundant,

Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.

There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes, and [yet] are not washed from their filthiness.

And may the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus (after suffering a little while) himself thoroughly prepare you. He will establish, strengthen, and provide a foundation.

Therefore, receiving an immovable kingdom, we may have grace, through which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and awe.

to a festal gathering and assembly of firstborn sons who were enrolled in the heavens, and to God, a Judge of all, and to spirits of righteous men who were made fully perfect,

in order to establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his sanctified.

For as many as be promises of God, in him is the Yes, and in him the Truly, for glory to God through us.

Indeed therefore the congregations throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified. And, going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.

Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt, for the tree is known by its fruit.

I have seen thine abominations, even thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, on the hills, in the field. Woe to thee, O Jerusalem! Thou will not be made clean. How long shall it yet be?

O Jerusalem, wash thy heart from wickedness, that thou may be saved. How long shall thine evil thoughts lodge within thee?

Who can say, I have made my heart clean. I am pure from my sin?

The fear of LORD is clean, enduring forever. The ordinances of LORD are true, [and] righteous altogether.

And he charged them, saying, Thus ye shall do in the fear of LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.

Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

But we are persuaded better things about you, beloved, and things that have salvation, even though we speak this way.

but according to the Holy Man, he who called you, ye yourselves also become holy in all conduct,

And if ye call on a Father, him who judges impartially according to each man's work, live the time of your sojourn in fear.

And the garment, either the warp, or the woof, or whatever thing of skin it be, which thou shall wash, if the disease be departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and shall be clean.
