And one of the sons of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.

And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Get thee to Anathoth, to thine own fields, for thou are worthy of death. But I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou bore the ark of lord LORD before David my father, and be
