And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob to whom the word of LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name.

To this day they do after the former manner. They do not fear LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law or after the commandment which LORD commanded the sons of Jacob, whom he named Is

And Moses wrote all the words of LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar below the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

And he erected an altar there, and called it El-Elohe-Israel.

And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Why is it that thou ask for my name? And he blessed him there.
