For if some man sees thee, who have knowledge, dining in an idol-temple, will not his conscience, being weak, be strengthened to eat things sacrificed to idols?

Therefore about eating the things sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God except one.

But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith, and everything that is not from faith is sin.

Nevertheless the knowledge is not in all men, but some, with conscience of the idol until now, eat as sacrificed to idols, and their weak conscience is defiled.

I know and am persuaded in Lord Jesus, that nothing is profane by itself, except to him who regards anything to be profane. To that man it is profane.

And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge. And in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

And they went out into the field, and gathered their vineyards, and trod [the grapes], and held festival, and went into the house of their god, and ate and drank, and cursed Abimelech.

for they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods. And the people ate, and bowed down to their gods.

Become ye inoffensive both to Jews and to Greeks, and to the church of God,

but to write to them, to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.

But take heed lest somehow this privilege of yours becomes a stumbling-block to those who are weak.
