And these are those whom David set over the service of song in the house of LORD, after the ark had rest.

And they brought in the ark of LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before LORD.

This is my resting place forever. Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

Arise, O LORD, into thy resting-place, thou, and the ark of thy strength.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.

And they brought up the ark of LORD, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; even these the priests and the Levites brought up.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

And they ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting until Solomon had built the house of LORD in Jerusalem, and they served in their office according to their order.

And these are the singers, heads of fathers of the Levites, [who dwelt] in the chambers [and were] free [from other service], for they were employed in their work day and night.

And [David] made for him houses in the city of David. And he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song [with] the singers. And David had upon him an ephod of linen.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise LORD, after the order of David king of Israel.

And outside the inner gate were chambers for the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate, and their view was toward the south, one at the side of the east gate having the view toward the north.
