“Amen, I tell you, among those born of women, none has arisen greater than John the Immerser. Yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.


Now as they were leaving, Yeshua began to talk to the crowd concerning John. “What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?


They answered, “Some say John the Immerser, others say Elijah, and still others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”


For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; and even after you saw this, you had no change of heart to believe him.”


Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance;


“Now is the fullness of time,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins, and believe in the Good News!”


As Isaiah the prophet has written, “Behold, I send My messenger before You, who will prepare Your way.


And you, child, will be called a prophet of Elyon. For you will go before Adonai to prepare His ways,


And after John’s messengers left, He began to speak about John to the crowds. “What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?


beginning with His immersion by John until the day He was taken up from us—must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”


So now behold, Adonai has kept me alive, just as He said, these 45 years, since the time that Adonai spoke this word to Moses while Israel was journeying in the wilderness, and now behold, I am 85 years old today.


The children of the Kenite, Moses’ father-in-law, went up with the children of Judah from the City of Palms to the wilderness of Judah, which is in the Negev of Arad. They went and settled with the people.
