But when she came before the sovereign, he commanded by letter that his evil plot which Haman had plotted against the Yehuḏim should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the wooden structure.


“Thus יהוה shall return his blood on his head, because he had fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, while my father Dawiḏ did not know it: Aḇnĕr son of Nĕr, commander of the army of Yisra’ĕl, and Amasa son of Yether, commander of the army of Yehuḏah.


There the workers of wickedness have fallen; They have been overthrown And have been unable to rise.


“Further, יהוה also gives Yisra’ĕl with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons are with me. יהוה also gives the army of Yisra’ĕl into the hand of the Philistines.”


Dawiḏ also said, “As יהוה lives, except יהוה does smite him, or his day come that he shall die, or he shall go out to battle and perish,


And Dawiḏ knew that Sha’ul was plotting evil against him, and said to Eḇyathar the priest, “Bring the shoulder garment here.”


He plots wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not despise evil.


“And you shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus said יהוה, “Have you murdered and also taken possession?” ’ And you shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus said יהוה, “In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naḇoth, the dogs are going to lick your blood, even yours.” ’ ”


And they hanged Haman on the wooden structure that he had prepared for Mordeḵai, and the sovereign’s wrath abated.


According to what I have seen, those who plough wickedness and sow suffering reap the same.


יהוה has made Himself known, He has done right-ruling; The wrong is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.


Let ruin come upon him unawares, And let his net that he hid catch himself; Let him fall in it, into ruin.


My heart is firm, O Elohim, My heart is firm; I sing and praise.


Let the wrong fall into their own nets, While I pass by.


Such are the ways of everyone greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners.


Whoever digs a pit falls into it, And whoever rolls a stone, it turns back on him.


He who digs a pit falls into it, and whoever breaks through a wall is bitten by a snake.
