Hasten, answer me, O יהוה; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those going down into the pit.


יהוה is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer; My Ěl is my rock, I take refuge in Him; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my high tower.


“Let us swallow them alive like She’ol, And entirely, like those going down to the pit.


O Elohim, do not remain silent! Do not be speechless, And do not be still, O Ěl!


and he threw him into the pit of the deep, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should lead the nations no more astray until the thousand years were ended. And after that he has to be released for a little while.


“Trust in יהוה forever, for in Yah, יהוה, is a rock of ages.


He has redeemed my being from going down to the pit, and my life sees the light.’

This You have seen, O יהוה; Do not be silent. O יהוה, do not be far from me.


“What gain is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Would dust praise You? Would it declare Your truth?


O My Elohim, I call by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I find no rest.


I cried to יהוה with my voice, And He heard me from His set-apart mountain. Selah.


My voice is to Elohim, and I cry; My voice is to Elohim, and He listened to me.


Let not a flood of waters overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up, Nor let the pit shut its mouth on me.


Attend to the voice of my cry, My Sovereign and my Elohim, For unto You I pray.


I cry out to יהוה with my voice; I pray to יהוה with my voice.


Hear my prayer, O יהוה, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.”


I say to Ěl my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”


Sing praise to יהוה, You lovingly-committed ones of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His Set-apartness.


I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my distress.
