Be sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.


for you are still fleshly. For since there is envy, and strife, and divisions among you, are you not fleshly and walking according to man?


“And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.


Having purposed it, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, for us to be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.


Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Elohim,


“Set them apart in Your truth – Your Word is truth.


Then יהושע said to him, “Go, Satan! For it has been written, ‘You shall worship יהוה your Elohim, and Him alone you shall serve.’ ”


יהושע said to him, “It has also been written, ‘You shall not try יהוה your Elohim.’ ”


But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of יהוה.’ ”


And they have over them a sovereign, the messenger of the pit of the deep, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apolluon.


If I have covered my transgressions like Aḏam, by hiding my crookedness in my bosom,


how much less one who is loathsome and corrupt, drinking unrighteousness like water!


And the earth was corrupt before Elohim, and the earth was filled with violence.


And יהוה saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


But Dawiḏ said to Aḇishai, “Do not destroy him, for who shall stretch out his hand against the anointed of יהוה, and be guiltless?”


far be it from me, by יהוה, that I stretch out my hand against the anointed of יהוה. And now, please take the spear and the jug of water that are by his head, and let us go.”
