How often is the lamp of the wrong put out, and does come upon them their calamity, sorrows He allots in His displeasure?


“Then the sovereign said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him out into the outer darkness – there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’


The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.


By pride comes only strife, But wisdom is with those who take advice.


And when I extinguish you, I shall cover the heavens, and make its stars dark. I shall cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.


“Why should the name of our father be removed from among his clan because he had no son? Give us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
