And many people, a very great assembly, gathered at Yerushalayim to perform the Festival of Matzot in the second new moon.


For many of the people, many from Ephrayim and Menashsheh, Yissasḵar and Zeḇulun, had not been cleansed, yet they ate the Pĕsaḥ contrary to what was written. But Ḥizqiyahu prayed for them, saying, “יהוה who is good, provide atonement for everyone


But the sovereign and his leaders and all the assembly in Yerushalayim had taken counsel to perform the Pĕsaḥ in the second new moon.


“On the fourteenth day of the second new moon, between the evenings, they perform it – with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they eat it.


And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,


leave your gift there before the slaughter-place, and go, first make peace with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.


Now the Pĕsaḥ of the Yehuḏim was near, and many went from the country up to Yerushalayim before the Pĕsaḥ, to set themselves apart.


But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.
