7 Then the people came to Mosheh, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against יהוה and against you. Pray to יהוה to take away the serpents from us.” So Mosheh prayed on behalf of the people.

And now, return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and let him pray for you and you live. But if you do not return her, know that you shall certainly die, you and all that are yours.


And the sovereign answered and said to the man of Elohim, “Please appease the face of יהוה your Elohim, and pray for me, that my hand might be restored to me.” And the man of Elohim appeased the face of יהוה, and the sovereign’s hand was restored to him, and became as it was before.


Then Yeho’aḥaz sought the face of יהוה. And יהוה listened to him, for He saw the oppression of Yisra’ĕl, because the sovereign of Aram oppressed them.


And יהוה turned the captivity of Iyoḇ when he prayed for his friends. And יהוה gave Iyoḇ twice as much as he had before.


And now, take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Iyoḇ, and offer up an ascending offering for yourselves. And let My servant Iyoḇ pray for you – for I accept him – lest I punish you; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as did My servant Iyoḇ.”


Then He said that He would destroy them, Had not Mosheh His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath from destroying them.


When He killed them, then they sought Him, And they returned and did earnestly seek Ěl.


And now, please forgive my sin only this once, and pray to יהוה your Elohim, that He would only turn away this death from me.


But Mosheh pleaded with יהוה his Elohim, and said, “יהוה, why does Your wrath burn against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Mitsrayim with great power and with a strong hand?


And it came to be on the next day that Mosheh said to the people, “You, you have sinned a great sin. And now I am going up to יהוה – if I might atone for your sin.”


And Pharaoh said, “I am letting you go, then you shall slaughter to יהוה your Elohim in the wilderness. Only, do not go very far away! Pray for me.”


and the frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your servants.” ’ ”


Pharaoh then called for Mosheh and Aharon, and said, “Pray to יהוה to take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I shall let the people go to slaughter to יהוה.”


O יהוה, in distress they shall visit You, they shall pour out a prayer when Your disciplining is upon them.


And יהוה said to me, “Even if Mosheh and Shemu’ĕl were to stand before Me, My being is not toward this people. Send them away from My presence, let them go.


And Tsiḏqiyahu the sovereign sent Yehuḵal son of Shelemyah, and the priest, Tsephanyahu son of Ma‛asĕyah, to the prophet Yirmeyahu, saying, “Please pray to יהוה our Elohim for us.”


“I shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess their guilt and seek My face, in their distress diligently search for Me, and say,


And the people cried out to Mosheh, and Mosheh prayed to יהוה, and the fire died down.


saying, “I have sinned in delivering up innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!”


But Shim‛on answering, said, “Plead with the Master for me, so that none of what you had said shall come upon me.”


Truly brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to Elohim for Yisra’ĕl is for deliverance.


“And יהוה was very enraged with Aharon, to destroy him, so I prayed for Aharon at that time also.


Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, so that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much.


And Sha’ul said to Shemu’ĕl, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the mouth of יהוה and your words, because I feared the people and listened to their voice.


Then he said, “I have sinned. But esteem me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Yisra’ĕl, and return with me, and I shall bow myself to יהוה your Elohim.”
